The cab of the 328 has been removed and place in storage for later reuse when rest of the engine has been restored. The main resource needed to restore the 328 and other steam locomotives at the Jackson Street Roundhouse is money. Many volunteers are available to do the manual labor free of charge, but replacing or rebuilding worn parts can cost well over $100,000 for one of these engines.
