Spark plugs were the next issue to resolve.  The Waterloo Boy's block is 2 1/4 inches thick at the spark plug holes.  A standard plug will only reach about 1/2 inch into that hole.  I looked around for the long reach plugs, but was told they are all in collections today and I would never be able to buy them.  I figured we could make them.  I started with 4 2-piece plugs that were the correct thread size.  My neighbor, Bill Carter put an extension in the bases of 2 of the plugs and used the electrodes of the other 2 for extensions on the plugs we were using.

Here, Bill and his son, Jake, are cutting the new, long electrode to the correct length.
